Welcome to the ScriptGraphics Comics Weebly Site.
Here's were I'll be posting images and information concerning ScriptGraphics creators, stories, and art. This site is one of many stand in sites for us while we fine tune the ScriptGraphics Portal Site that we're working on. It allows us to publish content until that happens. When the portal is up and running this will become a satellite site where we'll archive artistic and creative content of the ScriptGraphics staff.
Some of our work will take the form of comic strips, some will be comic pages, and some will be in prose format only. We'll be experimenting with the form, but looking first and foremost to just tell a good story.
If you like any of the previews, which are of books that actually exist, drop an email to our commander in chief via the "TELL US HOW YOU REALLY FEEL" box at the bottom of the page. Drop us a line to let us know whichever books you're interested in. If you're in the Newark, New Jersey area, you can stop in at the Fortress of Solitude Comic Shop in Newark, NJ, where they have a pretty good selection of our books. Tell them I sent you. All images and artwork at this site © 2016 Goza Creative/ScriptGraphics and the individual creators and members of Team ScriptGraphics. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED!

Then...
NOW!
My name is Darrell Goza and I do commercial graphic art, of which comic content is a part. I've had a good history of doing comic book creating from the art side of things to producing them and just about every area in-between. I've worked with some pretty good people in the industry, for some great mentors there and for some of the best known companies too (You did take a look at the books directly above this write-up, right?) . While working for some of the smaller independent press outfits doing design, scheduling and packaging I began to notice that their books were selling out. That happens enough times you have to consider it isn't a fluke. That got me to thinking: what if I did a line of my own? If you're read the stuff for 'the comic book line that's coming' you already know my answer to that 'what if' scenario. In 2016 I drew a line in the sand, literally, and I'm not going to be alone. Aim for the stars, and a party is always better with friends united in the endeavor. Join us in 2024 onward!

The ScriptGraphics ADAPT™ Project is now up:
http://adapt-it.weebly.com/the-adapt-project-strips.html
To fully understand the importance of this you have to understand we've gone back to school. Old school that is. Comic Book content started as comic strips and then comic books with the advent of the man of steel in America. We're going back to the days when newspapers featured action and adventure strips instead of the gag-a-day pablum that now proliferates the tabloids and newsprint sheets. We're bringing it back with an eye on bringing the art form up to date and telling the stories in contemporary terms. The web has made this not only possible but a worthwhile endeavor. See the launch site and the covers of the coming strips as well as meeting the creators. There are seven strips being done weekly for the 2014 thru 2017 calendar year.
CONVENTION HOPPING and SPREADING THE NEWS ABOUT CREATORS -
The BLACK Ones!
To promote our coming line of books, I'm took time to do some end of year conventions. The Newark (NJ) ComicCon lecture on the history of Black creators was a rousing success. Many knew of some of the source material and all were amazed with the additional stuff they learned. Our history in comics is vast and varied and we have a couple of true firsts that have never been acknowledged or promoted. The lecture takes Black comic content producing from the early 1900's to the digital age and I'm still adding more material as I come across it in my research. Being at the Newark ComicCon I made a special shout out to the pioneers that sprung up right here in Newark, NJ. Bill Sienkiewicz and Don Brown from Watch Out! Magazine; Dwayne Ferguson's Captain Africa; Roland Laird's MC Squared and the ground breaking graphic novel Still I Rise, Rashida Lewis' Sandstorm and the first Black female to have a successful independent book: Kelly Lynn Williams and her Few Survive the Mission series and Kevin Darmanie's graphic novel Kulprit, which was done in concert with Kelly and me. I even got to slip in some images from my product line too - Star Angels/The Sight, Enigma/The ScriptGraphics Preview and Lady Spirtfist.
I'd also like to shout out to some students of mine that exhibited at the show: George Vega doing card art posters and his wonderful World of M and Coran 'Kizer' Stone, working with WB animation, who showed up at NewarkCon, NJ 2015 from CA to give some support to all of us and show what he's been up to. My only regret was I didn't get to take a photo with all of them for posterity. I'm so proud of all of them.

Lady Spiritfist comic stripLady Spiritfist
Finding your Karma has never been easy. For women it's even harder still. Martial Arts, Mysticism, Magic and determination meet and blend in the making of a human being. This will be a continuing strip, done weekly throughout 2014: Lady Spiritfist. The Text Novel seriesWhen we first began to look at the phenomenon known as the internet we wanted to do comics but found that there were so many writing creators that didn't have access to an artist, making doing comics all but impossible. With that in mind we decided to institute a prose only format. They became our Text Novels! and we're trying them out to see what's possible on this online arena.
Our beginning stories are by John Brown, Keith Royster, Darrell Goza and the rest of Team ScriptGraphics but we're also featuring new creators publishing their first published story titles. Commissions available -We're now going to do original graphic and fine art, for sale. Have something you'd like to see? Let our artists create that one of a kind image or graphic that will make you the envy of your friends. See the drop down menu above for more info concerning what we do and how we'll do it. This is a first for us as we've been more concerned with doing comics and advertising. Click image for commission art page and pricing of graphic art services.

The First Strip Formatted Graphic Novel
In 1995 Beatnik Publications became the first independent publication produced by a Black Woman: Kelly Lynn Williams. It was an immediate success and sold out nation
wide. Not to rest on her laurels, she produced a couple more issues before retiring. As a creator, the 'bug' to create never truly leaves us and soon enough she was tackling her first noir styled graphic novel: KULPRIT! Once that was done she settled in to complete her first prose novel when once again history called upon her. Now, she's marrying the prose format with strip and digital art to produce the first ever graphic novel in strip format. Let's be clear here, there are many graphic novels done online but none are being done in strip format and the ones that are being done as strips are completely comics. Kelly has produced the first prose/comic content/digital art hybrid and it's a modified telling of her first sell out publication 'Few Survive the Mission.' This time she's kept it simple and named it: 'The Mission.' We think you'll like the results but be prepared for a good read and know that the digital format allows for a very different way to tell a story. This is a real novel done for our times using the digital strip format as its platform. Read The Mission! |

We know there are creators out there that want to be a part of a creative movement. We'd love to see what you've got. Keep in mind that our creative efforts designed for online viewing are offered free of charge to the viewing public. Additionally, all stories and art have to be 'general audience friendly'. If the story you're telling can't be done without gratuitous sex and violence then we're not the place for you. A good rule of thumb to follow is that if there's a question in your mind about it being placed here, it's probably not a good fit for us. Outside of that, be creative, imaginative and have some fun with what you do!
